We recently hosted our Life Skills and Leadership Development Camp at Thaba Morula from 30 June to 4 July 2025, bringing together 15 girls from various children’s homes. Each of these young participants has faced significant trauma, including experiences of abuse, neglect, and sexual violence.
The camp provided a safe and nurturing environment, with comfortable sleeping arrangements supported by sleeping bags and warm fleece blankets supplied by our team. The dedicated facilitators at Thaba Morula as well as our facilitators who supports us played an instrumental role in creating a meaningful and memorable experience.
A well-balanced programme encouraged personal growth, strengthened leadership skills, and fostered group connection, while also allowing time for rest and reflection. At the end of the camp, each girl was awarded a Certificate of Attendance and received a backpack filled with stationery, toiletries, and a gift voucher, items that were warmly appreciated by all.
Through the continued support of our partners and sponsors, we are able to create spaces where young girls can rebuild their sense of self, develop essential life skills, and envision a brighter future.
